What the day looks like

Online theory

When you book, you get access to the course material: four short modules you read at your own pace before the day of your practical training.

2 hours of classroom theory

At Marina del Este, with the instructor: we go over buoyage, the rules of the road, radio and safety, and answer your questions before going out on the water.

4 hours of practical training

On a 6-metre motorboat from Marina del Este: manoeuvres, berthing, anchoring, knots, VHF and navigating around the Maro-Cerro Gordo Natural Site.

Licence on the same day

We take care of the paperwork and you leave with your licence at the end. It doesn't expire.

Online syllabus and quiz

You do the theory at your own pace in the student area: four modules you can read in under two hours and a 30-question quiz that tells you whether you've passed.

The syllabus and the quiz are available in Spanish, English, German, French, Swedish and Dutch, and they are the same for the international ISSA certificate.
