Motril's port is a commercial and fishing port, with little leisure boat hire. If you live in Motril or are on holiday in Playa Granada or Torrenueva, Marina del Este is 25 minutes away along the A-7 and gives you direct access to the Maro-Cerro Gordo Natural Site.
A-7 towards Málaga to the La Herradura exit, and from there the Punta de la Mona road. About 30 km, no tolls.

We run it at Marina del Este, every day by prior booking, with the practical training in the same marina where you can then hire a boat.
Not from 1 October 2026: the regulations (Royal Decree 1188/2025) require a qualification to helm any hire boat. You have two options: get your Spanish Navigation Licence (Licencia de Navegación) with us in a single day for €120, or go out with one of our skippers.
