For those without a DNI or NIE: with your passport you can get the ISSA Inland Power Skipper international certificate, which qualifies you to helm motorboats up to 15 metres long, in daylight and up to 3 nautical miles from the coast. The theory and the assessment are online, and you only come to Marina del Este for the practical training.
The Spanish Navigation Licence (Licencia de Navegación) requires a Spanish ID card (DNI) or an NIE. If you only have a passport, the international ISSA certificate lets you train and go out on the water just the same: you do the theory and the assessment online and come to Marina del Este only for the practical training.

Certificate issued by ISSA, the international association of sailing schools founded in 1969, recognised in more than 120 countries.

It is the same syllabus as for the Spanish Navigation Licence, in Spanish, English, German, French, Swedish and Dutch. As an ISSA student you also get the official ISSA textbook on CEVNI, the European Code for Inland Waterways.
