The coves and cliffs you can visit from our pontoon, with the cruising time and the hire duration we recommend for each one.

As soon as you leave the harbour, you have La Herradura bay on one side and the Punta de la Mona cliffs on the other, with the lighthouse on top. Rocky seabeds full of life for snorkelling, and the perfect route for the one-hour trip or the sunset.

The most beautiful stretch of coast in eastern Andalusia: hundred-metre cliffs, sea caves, watchtowers and crystal-clear water. It's a protected Natural Site (Paraje Natural): you stay more than 50 metres from the coast and only anchor, in daylight, in the three free anchoring zones.

Two of the three free anchoring zones in the Natural Site. You anchor on sand, in daylight and more than 200 metres from the beach, and swim from there in crystal-clear water. El Cañuelo is usually calmer in the morning.

The full-day route: you cruise along all the cliffs to the waterfall that drops straight into the sea at Maro, and if you carry on a little further you'll see Nerja and the Balcón de Europa from the water. This is the route included in the all-inclusive Azimut trip.
Maro-Cerro Gordo and Punta de la Mona are protected areas: you can only anchor in the free anchoring zones, and at Punta de la Mona the maximum speed is 6 knots.
Puerto Deportivo Marina del Este, Local 3.02, 18697 La Herradura (Almuñécar), Granada. The harbour is at the western end of La Herradura bay, between Almuñécar and Nerja.
