Frequently asked questions

Where can I hire a boat near Granada?

At Marina del Este, in La Herradura, an hour from the city. It's the marina in the province of Granada with the best access to the Maro-Cerro Gordo boating area.

Can I do the licence course and go out on the water the same day?

Yes. In the morning you do the 2 hours of classroom theory and the 4 hours of practical training, and you leave with your licence. In the afternoon you can hire the Nireus 620.

Can I hire a boat without a licence?

Not from 1 October 2026: the regulations (Royal Decree 1188/2025) require a qualification to helm any hire boat. You have two options: get your Spanish Navigation Licence (Licencia de Navegación) with us in a single day for €120, or go out with one of our skippers.
